Beneath a breast of bright feathered jewels A humming heart seems to never know sleep, Yet the unyielding tyrant who immortally rules Will snuff out that life and bury it deep. Despite the carnation's sweet blush of youth, There's nothing that grey cannot overtake Fair fragile butterflies know well the truth That the hunger of death will never slake. Nature works a careless craft, Her hands are caked with mess; Shaping the mountains from mounds of clay, And wiping what's left on her dress. The deck of the ancient barge Valkyrie was completely flooded, the fat, heavy waves pounding so relentlessly that it looked more like a river than part of a ship. My Bio

Howdy! I do visual art as a hobby, mostly fantasy or sci-fi stuff that pops into my head. Writing has always been my passion, and it's my aspiration to be an author one day. I'm also completely obsessed with books and movies and television. Seriously, it's a problem. XD

My current fixations include the movies upcoming this year: Hunger Games, Avengers, Dark Knight Rises, and the Hobbit. I'm always up for a geek-out session about any of these.

I'm looking to meet more people on this site to comment on each other's deviations; I'm pretty active on dA (except when I'm not :P) and if I watch you I will most likely try to comment on as much as I can.

That sinking feeling

I've been working on this one story for years. It's so fascinating for me to look back and see all the different variations of it, how much it's changed over so much time. Now that I think about it, things were pretty weird way back when I first started writing it. But now I thought I'd finally gotten it to a point where everything seems to be falling into place, and that I'm happy with what I have. So of course I had to have the realization that everything I'm writing is terribly cliched. I'm attacking all the messages in my dA inbox with the same strategy I use for large amounts of any work: not doing any of it. I feel guilty deleting the huge blocks of updates when I should be at least flipping through them, so I'm going to do my best. Like pretty much everyone else, I'm thinking of changing my name. I pretty much just made it up on the spot when I first made my account, and feel like I can do better. At the same time I don't want to confuse people. What do you think? The date of my wisdom teeth surgery draws ever nearer. So not looking forward to the hours of bleeding and days of pain that will accompany it, not to mentio

Gone for a week, 700 new messages. Booya. :XD: Still, finals are over, I didn't bomb Core, and I can start trying to get back into the habit of writing/drawing/not-clawing-my-eyeballs-out-with-stress. Things are looking good at the job I applied to, and right now the only other obstacle I'm looking at is getting my wisdom teeth removed. :stare: Do. Not. Want. Still, it will beat them being all up in my mouth crowding my teeth and hurting like woah. I know I owe some people some drawings, and for the delay let me offer my deepest apology.
